The Grape Story...

I just had a childhood memory that I wanted to share with you. When I was 6 years old, I was outside eating some delicious grapes. I had finished them and had the stem left.  I planted the stem in the ground and watered it. I don't remember what I did after that but the next day I went back to check the grape stem and there was a single grape on there...I promise that to be the truth...lol...I was thinking of that grand memory this morning...To this day I do not know who took a full grape stem and plucked all the grapes off leaving one grape. They were watching me, and actually took the time to make this perfect surprise blessing just for me.

Is not it just like God  to remind us that he is watching over us even when we think no one really is! We have his full attention as his dear children. He loves us so much....He wants to bless us with many surprises in this abundant life!

  1. What a beautiful memory for you. I believe God know what we have need of and you needed to see the seed you planted grow. Course we know it wasn't a seed, but God knew what you need to see. My heart was breaking because I was missing my loved ones. I held items that were left to me, especially my grandmothers pocket watch. She had passed away 28 yrs. earlier, but when I opened her watch it was running and ran for about 5 minutes. I needed something and God knew what it would take. I wept tears of joy. Thank you for sharing, please do...often.

    1. Thank you so much for responding! Sometimes it does not have to be a long drawn out and lengthy blog but if it reaches the heart is the most important.I believe that was a seed tht was also planted in my heart....Can you imagine what my 6 year old mind wondered at the moment? Thanks so much for your words of encouragement and grace. I dont know your name, but may God bless you richly!!! RIchard Hicks

  3. Hi Richard, my name is Joyce Henderson and I reside in East Texas. I am a member of Christian Poets & Writers where I saw your post. I also have my own group on face book called "Writings from the heart" where I encourage writers to post their writings from the heart. Needless to say I do read each post before allowing it to be posted. It's surprising that some people feel they can advertise products on any group.
