Are You Resisting Jesus?

At one time or another, I believe we have all experienced rejection in one way or another. It hurts to be rejected by those we love.  We have rejected someone intentionally or unintentionally, or been rejected by a friend, spouse, or family member.

What I am thinking is, "how many times have we resisted and rejected Jesus? I cannot for the life of me comprehend how we can reject the lover of our soul and yet I know there  are times in my own life when I have rejected and resisted the Spirit of the Lord.  How can we resist the love of God our Father? How can we resist His Holy Spirit?

He is the one who can save us from death and hell.  I know is I am just as guilty as the next person. I have made my mistakes, and rejected His love and resisted His grace.

Why do we make things so difficult? The Word of God does say that His yoke is easy, and His burden is light.

Thank God He doesn't hold it against us!  When we totally give our hearts to Him, He doesn't hold any record against us! He wipes the slate clean! He washes our hearts clean with the blood of Jesus!

How many of us has that slate in our mind, "I remember this and that, and it seems you didn't help me and left me all alone."

Do our own records of wrongs done to us make us reject others and ultimately Jesus Christ?  Jesus will never leave or forsake you.

If it feels like He has rejected or deserted you, think again.  He is with us always, even to the end of the age..Can you imagine what it feels like for Jesus when we reject him or his help? When we reject His love, and try to go it in our own strength or in our own selfish way? That is rejection.

My question is, "Why do we do it, is it in our DNA or fleshly nature?"

Jesus was despised and rejected as He hung on that cross. He took all the sting of rejection upon Himself. The definition of rejection is the act of rejecting. The term reject means to refuse to accept, or submit to, believe or make use of.

Jesus took all our hurts and rejection upon Himself. He went through the ultimate sacrifice so that He could come to us with open arms. He will never reject us.

He is standing here waiting patiently for you. Stop rejecting Him, and give your heart and soul to him.

If you are rejecting Him through disobedience, then repent and thus be obedient on what he is telling your heart to do.

God our Father is going to discipline us to teach us His ways, But it is no way a form of rejection. HE will never leave us or forsake us. If we don't feel near to Him, it is our own flesh standing in the way

He can wash your stains and sin away with His redeeming blood!

How far can you go with rejecting God in your life? Time and time again He has spoken to your heart. Its time to come to Him...and stay and abide in His everlasting presence.  When you resist God you are willfully being disobedient, and untimately rejecting Him!

Jesus, I am sorry for resisting and rejecting You. I come to You now, take my heart, and help me to love others the way You love me. Help me not to reject you anymore.   Help me to accept others the way you have accepted me. In Jesus' name I ask, and pray, Amen.

Psalm 118:22
The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone
Luke 10:16
He who hears you hears Me, he who rejects you rejects Me, and he who rejects Me rejects Him who sent Me.”
