Isn't it time to have a JOY revival??? What is hindering us from experiencing the true Joy of the Lord and why? Deliverance is ours in Christ for the taking...will you take possession of it or will you drown in your anxiety and depression???
Depression is a real reality kicker these days. Is JOY what you are lacking in your spiritual walk in the Lord...Joy is the EXACT opposite of depression!!! It can rob you of true happiness. Lethargy can kick in as well and you can feel miserable all your life if you allow it to take control...
Does it seem that nothing seems to make you happy. Have you ever prayed or asked yourself, "Where is the joy of the Lord?"
You have been saved from Hell fire rotting and burning torment forever and ever!!! That is not enough to give you joy?
I know one of the many fruits of the Holy Spirit is joy. How do you project the fruits of the Spirit in your life? What are you lacking and needing the most? JOY is only an outward manifestation of a inward joy of the Holy Spirit. It is something you cannot help but convey to the world around you...it's like striking oil, digging down deep...once you tap into the oil of joy you will not be able to contain yourself... nothing can take away that happiness...Not death, hell or the grave.
Nobody or nothing can steal the joy of your salvation....that is what you are looking for!!! You are not going to find it in no other place except IN the GOSPEL OF GRACE!!!
The Holy Spirit needs to do a work in the depths of your soul. We need allow the power of God's Spirit to be displayed in our life. Walking in the power of the Holy Spirit produces joy...not only that but the tree of the Spirit is in full bloom at all times. It never fades or goes out of season...Why are we not experiencing more of the resurrection power fruits of the Holy Spirit???
Dieing to self is not joyful...it can be like a funeral if you allow it to be! God wants you to unravel your death clothes. Just like when Lazarus was raised from the dead some of us are walking around in grave clothes. WE need to be unbound by death's grip on us....its time to revisit the tomb of Jesus in our hearts! Rightly so, our sin nature is dead if we are true born again Christians...but we are walking around like zombies and mummy's. Depression can be considered as our grave clothes. We are rotting stinking corpses!!! Take them off NOW and be renewed in the Spirit of your mind!!!
WE need to find joy in every circumstance in our life. Why are you not experiencing it? We have to look for it and we will find it. ...We are not supposed to fake it....we either walk in joy of the Lord or depression which is of the devil!!!
We need the Holy Spirit's power to talk and walk in the resurrection power of Jesus Christ!!!
It's time to get over what happened in the past and concentrate on the moment. Stop fretting over what should have happened. There is nothing you can do about the past. Are you still grieving or in mourning or hurt over what happened yesterday?
What you can do is focus on what Jesus did for us at the cross. He defeated all sin, sickness and depression...We died at that Cross.. our old natures died, our new nature is alive forever more... when Jesus reigns and rules on the throne of our hearts we should be experiencing rivers of living water flowing out of our lives to those around us.
Wouldn't it be great if we could bottle up that joy? It doesn't have any after effects or withdrawals. Be filled with the Holy Spirit...Find joy in living for the Lord!!!
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the OIL of JOY for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified. Isaiah 61:3
Thus saith the Lord; Again there shall be heard in this place, which ye say shall be desolate without man and without beast, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast,
11 The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the Lord of hosts: for the Lord is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the Lord. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the Lord.
12 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Again in this place, which is desolate without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, shall be an habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down. Jeremiah 33:10-12
P.S. I am not saying or advocating that everyone should get off their medicine. I'm just saying....we should pray about experiencing some joy in our lives. I know I have my own issues with depression, I struggled with it daily. We must die to ourselves and find our true freedom in Christ. We are in the season of thankfulness, and should count the reasons to be joyful this season as well....
